Since the majority of gamers are males, and game devs want to appeal to these males more, well, you get the point

Take Mortal Kombat for example, not an FPS, but I think you should get what I am saying now

Look at Skyrim videos or play an MMO.

Male gamers apprantly LOVE playing as a female.

Not talking about actually playing as a female or not, but look at all the female characters in MK9 and tell me what is the same about all of them 

They all have blue eyes except toadette?

Hmm mortal kombat. Haven't played one since PS2.  Have to look quick.

 

edit: no idea what they ahe in common.  most seem to have some sort of face mask over their mouth.
