And even when they have exclusives it's largely similar gameplay experiences. Fortza versus drive club, Uncharted versus Tomb Raider, Killzone versus Halo.

You mean like how each different Nintendo console has largely similar experiences?  Mario Kart Wii vs MK7 vs MK8.  Mario Party 8 vs Mario Party 9 vs Mario Party 10.  New Super Mario Bros, vs NSMB Wii vs NSMB 2 vs NSMB U.

With Nintnedo you are getting many more exclusives and they are largely a different gameplay type of experience. Bayonetta, Wonderfull 101, Mario Kart, Mario 3d World, Splatoon, are a different gameplay type of experience. I don't know why people have such a hard time excepting this. It's the truth and there are advantages and disadvantages associated with it but it's a reality.  I guess people just have a hard time accepting that they are missing out on anything by going with only one console. It's the whole justifying a purchase thing.

This gen you're getting more exclusives with different gameplay right now.  The Wii U has been out for two years after all, and Sony no matter the console is slow to get on the ball.  Compare the Wii to the PS3 last gen.  The PS3 exclusives last gen had the widest variety of gameplay compared to the other two consoles.  You had games with various gameplay stytles.  The PS4 already has a wide variety of "exclusives" though already released, or release in the near future.  Exclusives you just happened to ignore in your small list of "versus" comparison.

It's not about what i'm getting. I don't care.  I own a ps4, pc, and wiiu.I just see value in Nintnedo consoles and always have because they've always had a lot of really good exclusive games.  And it's also not just about variety. I like playing games that are at the very least really good. Mediocre games don't count and might as well not even exist. The wii had a lot of great exclusive games and had a huge amount of variety in them. Including the best exclusive game of last gen according to review sites in Mario Galaxy 2. You can't tell me that Wii Sports, Xenoblade, Metroid Prime 3, Skyward Sword, Mario Galaxy 3, Endless Ocean, Zack and Wiki, and Donkey Kong Country Returns don't represent quality and vareity. I know lots of folks are gonna jump on Wii Sports but the game was exciting the first few times you played it and innovative and free. And the wii is probably my least favorite Nintendo console of all time. The Wiiu is gonna end up being much more desirable for me. Nintendo is literally saving games and saving japenese devs right now by picking up games like Bayonetta 2 and giving Namco something to do rather then laying off folks. And yet for some reason people feel the need to attack Nintendo just because they want to be able to buy one console and block pretend that nothing else exists. I'm really surprised that folks aren't applauding Nintendo for what they're doing. They're keeping Japense devs from dying off with the 3ds and Wiiu and they are more and more moving towards the core market in gaming. Lets face it. If it wasn't for first party Nintendo there would basically be no market for a dedicated handheld and little to no market over the next few years for games like Bayonetta 2. If you had to make that game on a PS4 budget it wouldn't have been profitable which is why no publisher except Nintendo picked it up.
