When was the last time a console with "graphics of the last generation" even existed launching alongside 'this-gen' graphics consoles? Never. (Well, maybe there was some obscure piece of trash with no games, I don't know, but basically never.)

But if you look at handhelds, you can clearly see that the incentive of graphics can easily be overcome by other incentives. The original Game Boy destroyed all comers without even trying, despite systems like the Game Gear having many good games and vastly superior graphics. Handhelds ran on AA batteries at the time and battery life was the overriding factor. In this case the Wii's controller is what is propelling it to victory, aided by price, ease of development, etc.

I couldn't help but notice that Kyros managed to reply to everyone responding to his post except for me.  Is it because my assessment was so profound that he agrees wholeheartedly with it, even though it stands in utter opposition to his previous view, or is it merely because he can't come up with a solid rebuttal?
