Steam update for GTA: San Andreas renders old saves useless, removes songs and resolution options
Steam’s version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas has appeared to have undergone some major changes, and not all of them good. Old save files now no longer work; instead when loading it will just start a new game. While Xbox 360 controller support was added, players lost the ability to render in 1080p, and several other resolutions, which were working and available before the update.
Finally, it appears that 17 songs were removed from the game, most likely caused by expiring music licences.

We’ve gathered all the cards that have been spoiled to date - 30 at the time of writing - so you can take a gander at them all, and start plotting your explosive decks today. Check back regularly as more cards are spoiled!
What Blizzard won't change about WoW legendaries in Warlords of Draenor
The weekend’s BlizzCon coverage has been rightly concentrated around Blizzard’s Overwatch - the redemptory multiplayer FPS recovered from the wreckage of intended WoW follow-up Titan. But let us not forget: a new expansion for what might be the best MMORPG on PC is fast-approaching.
On Saturday, a panel of high-ups from the Warlords of Draenor dev team did their best to answer questions about legendaries, and how they might or might not change in the coming months.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare patch to see off prestige reset problems
Sledgehammer have a Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare update “in the works” that pulls together all the community-requested tweaks and fixes to emerge since the game was released a week ago.
They’ll do nothing to make the Advanced Warfare campaign less dreary, but the imminent patch will tackle issues with the game’s prestige mode.
Shadow Returns will get a third campaign despite Necropolis, job listing reveals
You could say that 36,000 backers and the Shadowrun license allowed Harebrained Schemes the chance to build some creative muscle, before moving on to more ambitious things - namely the angular action-roguelike, Necropolis.
But that narrative belies the fact that the new Shadowrun games were doing wonderful stuff in their own right for the prosey RPG form, and were only getting better over time. So it’s a relief to know that there’s a future for the series beyond the standalone Shadowrun: Dragonfall released on Steam in September.

Assassin’s Creed Unity launch trailer shows more running, jumping, and stabbing people
Ubisoft puts out more trailers for their games than most studios combined. Thankfully, the release of the Assassin’s Creed Unity launch trailer means we should be safe from videos for a short while.
The trailer has assassin’s doing what they do best, jumping across rooftops, stabbing aristocrats, and supporting social change at the end of a blade.
