Game companies don't make games just for the fun of it. When they make a game, they need to actually sell copies of it in order to make back the money put into creating it and some profit for themselves on the side. Rather than waste money producing games with extra features for a system that will never leave store shelves, its a more sensible (and easier) solution to simply drop support for that system. As the best way to avoid ending up with several thousand unsellable discs is to not produce them in the first place, or produce them for systems the game will sell on. |
Agreed. They should have just cancelled Watch_Dogs on Wii U even if there was some sort of agreement with Nintendo to finish it. They probably save more money paying Nintendo back (if the agreement requires it) then selling paper weight game boxes.
