The problem is that not everyone will avoid it. Every person that gets turned off because they get the impression that shallow/shovelware games are the only kind that exist because of the sheer number of them is one person who may never get back into gaming.
As long as games like these keep sending the messages they do, the gaming industry's growth will never be what it could potentially be.
