because it´s a risk to develop for a new plattform, they waited to see if it would perform good and because it didn´t they concentrated more on platforms where they have better sales, this industry is about money and why should they support a platfrom where they cant make money?

they CAN make money. but without releasing games, money won't come. and how do you explain games coming to any new platform on the market?

there where already sucessfull on xbox/ps last generation, so they saw it as a smaller risk, there are still games that only release on last-gen, some developers are still waiting

the wii on the other hand was dead the last years so nobody could know how the wii u would do

 

also one/ps4 are x86 and since most multiplatt-games are on pc, it´s cheap to make a port, for wii u they would have to put way more money in a port
