In general, Nintendo gamers don't like any game which is violent (COD, Darksiders, Assassin's Creed) or have any level of realism (Gran Turismo, The Sims).

In general you're making things up. Plenty of Nintendo gamers own multiple systems and buy those kind of games on their other system.

I do believe that, for multiplats, this is a large part of the problem.  Multiplats have a (well earned) reputation for being poorly executed on Nintendo platforms, so many people who own Wiis and Wii Us have another system of some sort (PC, Xbox 360/One, PS3/4) to play multiplats.
