That might be false as even the amazon page speaks of a Basic Wii U, not a deluxe one.
I was surprised there wasn't an announcement at the latest ND, but that might be because Nintendo wants to get rid of the Basic Wii Us by adding Smash Bros to it.
Also, other retailers are also doing great sales on Basic Wii Us, by packaging Smash and other games aswell.
