X1 is having a real party this holiday season. We all know why. It's exclusive games. Playstation has no notable ones all season, until 2015 with Bloodborne. X1 has Sunset Overdrive, Forza Horizons, Halo TMCC and CoD exclusive content working for it. As well as in 2015 Quantum Break, Scalebound, Crackdown as well as undoubedly more to announce. This is good news for all single-platform gamers. Execs at Microsoft have realised, and Sony execs (having seen the sales) will too realise that exclusive games are selling consoles this gen. More than seemingly ever before. We can expect an increase in quality and quantity of Exclusive games from both companies looking into the future. This is good news!

Exclusives are not selling consoles and its 3rd party games more along with price and diverse library. Look at PS4 first year which did outsell XB1 2:1 WW so far without notable exclusives where MS had many exclusives so far but it did not work so they desperately went to price cuts and free games to compete with PS4. Also right now sony is not doing any promotions like MS yet still PS4 doing great at that price, soon in a week PS4 is going to bring their bundles of Far cry  4, GTA V and LBP3 which will push the PS4 more than XB1 for last two weeks.

PS4 has great start from 2015 with three exclusives and 3rd party advantage like they had so far from great games like Witcher 3, Batman etc., but Microsoft has nothing annouced to release for first half of 2015 yet which attracts users like they do with MCC, SO and price cuts(they are brining back price to normal from Jan).

As for Black Friday. So far it doesnt look like any extra deals. The only Black Friday advertisement with the PS4 is the GTAV/Last of Us Bundle for $400 or the LBP/Lego Batman Bundle for $400 from Meijer with a $50 instore credit for future purchase.  At the same time Meijer has the X1 AC Bundle for $330 and also gets the $50 instore credit.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.
