Ouch. I recommend dojo highly to you then. It will be your best friend in this game. This game forces you to get into combo mastery. KI is one of the fighters that demands all of your wits. Its not like the others at all. Thats one of the reasons I absolutely love it, but the great part if you can face novices too if you set the online settings up the right way.

I'm pretty average right now. My only problem is maintaining a combo. I usually do a opener, heavy auto, medium auto, linker, and then an ender. Too hard for me to cotinue because it's just so many button combinations to press.

Yep, KI demands dedication. You'll be fine if you're focused. Sometimes you must think one move ahead of the input , but in order so you dont break your combos.Think of autos as a flow concept, just realize which buttons keep up the flow. If you can keep up the flow you'll have longer combos. Also, learn how to do manuals so people cannot read your combos and break you as easily. Autos do most of the work for you but comes at a greater risk of predictability.  Heavy autos are nice, but mix it up between your lights and mediums as well. Always have a separate gameplan so you might survive the next round. Also, work on your poke and overhead attack game because that could make or break who gets the first strike. Once you understand manuals you'll confuse the shit out of anyone from newb to moderate. Advanced players will eventually read you, so again be creative with it.

Hope this helps.
