Wow really?  Why do you think they chose these two guys with japanese accents?  Why do you thinkt they chose that music?  It's to create the whole idea of it being foreign and exotic, something new froma  foreign land (Japan).  It's designed to engage people's curiosity.  You cannot remove the Japanese themes and have the same commercial.  And dismissing that shows you fundamentally don't understand marketing/directing/etc. 

Just leave him. He refuses to acknowledge he is wrong. You can spell it out to him in bold, and he will  still find some way to spin it.
