Having read your review seem like 7.1/10 would be Bayonetta 1 and Bayonetta 2 deserve better.

7.1 would be a game with some major flaws in my book and would avoid.

I've spent a good 20 hours on it, three playthroughs on three different difficulty settings. Other reviews of mine have been over 20 points lower than the Metascore, so Bayonetta 2 isn't an outlier.

A 7 is a good game on my review scale, one that is worth its money. However, it's either not a great experience (so the various elements are all implemented in a solid fashion with nothing that really stands out) or it's something that could have been great (an 8) but has a couple of major flaws. Bayonetta 2 falls in the later category with its long loading times and auto-save feature that put me off to the point that I don't really want to spend more time on the game. So while I liked what I played, a great game doesn't throw stuff at you that makes you quit long before you are getting anywhere close to 100% completion.

71 is C- .... we've all gone to school long enoug to know that C- is not acceptable. D and below you'd be in trouble. Don't make up your own scale.
