It was nice. Not perfect, I think a little more length to see the families together would've been nice, but there have been plenty of worse endings out there ("Yankee-kun and Glasses Girl" comes to mind... or School Rumble).
Also, my ship sailed, which rarely happens in the manga and anime I follow, so that alone made it pretty awesome.
