Oh man, I've hated the PS1 boot up noise even more than that THX cacophony at the beginning of movies for as long as I remember.
Gameboy Advance has my most liked startup screen/noise.
I like the Wii series startups, the Gamecube is what I'd consider the most fun. I've really liked every single Xbox system's startup sequences.
PS2 would be alright but it feels a little slow.
