Based on what I've seen so far, I don't see anything to really spark Wii U sales, unless Amiibo blows away my expectations. I think Splatoon has the potential, but the marketing will be very tricky. Could be a big hit that sells like 5 million, or could be a flop that sells 500K.

Mario Maker is another wildcard. In essence, it's Little Big Planet, but it seems a lot more accessible. If Nintendo does a good job in making the UGC thing accessible, this could be a huge hit for Nintendo....... or it could be something that simply appeals to long term fans.

Smash of course will have a similar long term effect to Mario Kart and the combination of the 2 should raise the baseline significantly.

How the Wii U does long term depends. Zelda is going to have to be amazing, and they NEED a big casual title to really turn things around.
