Looking at the dates, it's before we saw a huge drop for 3DS (although the previous 2 Q's were down YOY) so not sure what came out late last year which made people think it would pick up slack?

Tbone predicted 20m for 2013 but it only shipped 13m, this year it'll be lucky to break 10m shipped (given it's down 2.4m already).

2011: 15m
2012: 14.8m
2013: 12.9m
2014: 10m
2015: 9m? Thanks to new 3DS in the west maybe?
2016: 6m
2017: 3m Nintendo launch new handheld
2018 and beyond: 2m
