Well thats true, I do however think that with Youtube its easier to sift through the BS. Especially since more and more people have subscriptions now. Like as it stands I seldom ever search for anything. I just know there are certain uploaders that give me the exact kinda stuff I am interested in. And as for news, I always tend to hear about stuff first on forums before they even get uploaded on youtube. So i just skip vids like that.

As it stands, as far as "breaking news" goes, gamers seem to have become independednt of any major news outlet. On forums we get news from either twitter or reddit and mostly from the devs themselves. The major outlets seem to only report what we already know. The only time they are worth anything is if they are doing excusive coverage of anything.
