That's a character designer. She designs what the character looks like. That's all. Are you incapable of seeing how incredible sexist your view of the world is? "We focus on the pretty ladies and not on men." That's sexist. And wtf??? Women DON'T like all men enjoying their sexual presentation. IF you truly believe this, your view of the world is incredibly creepy and perverted. Nathan Drake's incredible looks are represented modestly and not obscenely represented. This is what I'm saying. Why are Bayonetta's boobs constantly on display? Why is she constantly naked? Why can the game industry represent men in a respectful way that conveys their beauty and power, while women have to be turned into porn stars? Don't know why you're bringing GOW's cringe-worthy scenes into this? It only provides further evidence about how immature the game industry is and how their representation of women is neolithic. |
Uh, your baggage is seriously affecting your perception of reality. Women don't HAVE to be turned into porn stars. There are plenty of powerful female figures in games and Bayonetta is one of them. Samus, Lightning, Chun-Li, Fem-Shep, the list goes on.
Men and women are different and express their sexuality in different ways. There is masculinity and femininity and they are nothing alike and I am sick of the SJW types trying to compare men and women and disregarding our differences. If Nathan Drake dressed and acted like Bayonetta that would be considered gay quite frankly, and not masculine or sexy. Men and women are built differently, think differently, have different preferences, and we are WIRED this way regardless of how society conditions us how to behave. This should be celebrated not fixed. Granted there are those that fall outside of this paradigm and that's fine too.
Anyway, Bayonetta is a dominatrix like figure and her sexuality is part of her character, she uses it to humiliate her opponents. If she were just generic super hero it wouldn't be as interesting. Some implied 'rape attack' is a pretty thin argument at best.
