Zelda: Skyward Sword, and Majora's Mask are games that are definitely not bad... They are critically acclaimed...

At least my definition of what the OP is asking is games that didn't receive much critical acclaim that are probably in your top 5 favorite games of all time....

With that said... my black horse is definitely Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn (7.3 on IGN, 78 Metascore). Fire Emblem fans either love it or hate it... But I think it's one of the best games ever made in terms of story and character development... and I've spent 300+ hours on it... Definitely my most played game on the Wii....

Yes, that's generally my line of thinking with the OP. I was surpised to see games like Skyward Sword listed because the critical consensus was that it was a well-crafted game, even if there were a few downsides. My intent was that people pick games where the general consensus among critics was that the game was inconsistent, flawed, or just plain bad, yet were enjoyed regardless.

Also, someone mentioned Zombi U as one of the games. I haven't really thought of that one until now, but it definitely fits. I really enjoyed the game despite some of the obvious flaws (repetitive melee, meh graphics), and a lot of critics seemed to really give it a thrashing. (including a certain website who decided to review the game as if it were a FPS, not a survival horror game *cough* GameSpot *cough)
