i don't care much for review sites, i look more towards gameplay vids but most people actually use reviews like you said as a means to tell them if a game is fun or not without even playing it.....it is a shame.

Well, most of us (and that goes for 99.999% of population) doesn't have 50-60 bucks to burn in order to actually play and then form your own judgement on a game such as Ninjabread man.

Unless they show 8 hours of gameplay video, as well as PIP of the guy playing it, there's no way you can tell how well it is.

 

Judging a game base on a few minutes of gameplay vid, now, that is a shame

 There are alternatives to buying the game, you could rent it, play at a friends(most people have friends), play at a store kiosk.  I think gameplay vids are better than reviews.  SUre it isn't the best way to judge but at least it is you doing the judging and not some reviewer who most likely has different tastes than you.
