Sure. whatever country women are treated equally to men. :/ Is there a country without mysogyny?
"Oh by the way she should have worn cargo pants or something cause men can't control themselves very well if they can see fitted pants, or better yet never go outside again 'cause the problem is her. She was asking for it, she was wanting it, and she should feel privileged for recieving it. Oh and she should have totally said "no" because we all know strange men talking to you on the street respond very well to that. I guess I can't hit on women anymore on the street or even say hi anymore, that's how I was going to meet my wife." That seems to sum up half the responses. |
Actually, the more "equal" the country, the bigger the present feminist movement is. Scandenavia has a huge vocal feminist movement.
Some of the guys on that video are bang out of order, however it definitely goes both ways (luckily I'm not particularly attractive so it hasn't happened to me) and I know guys who get cat called in the street etc just exactly the same as is happening to her.
The problem with the current feminism movement is it has no interest in equality as it claims. This is why it gets so many people's (including women) backs up. It just seems to be a self serving means of promoting themselves while claiming a wad of donations to help continue a movement that likes to "highlight" how bad things are for actually, some pretty damn privileged individuals (given how much "check your privilege" is bandied around).
When these supposed we want equality groupies actually start demonstrating a care and passion for true equality rather than constantly playing the victim card, maybe the wider internet and public would pay more attention. Until it's acknowledged that it isn't just a 1 way street of rah rah powerful men get everything while we just get objectified and bullied, there's going to be a lot of noise but absolutely nothing will come of it.
