I'm not saying it didn't made good numbers for all its limitations and barriers. But a game that makes 1M won't set the world on fire or become a pillar for a company.

JRPGs may be a little niche, but Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts delivered big numbers either way. And the fact than X will have almost zero advertising really will make it be a niche title.

If Xenoblade Chronicles X has 0 advertising I'll agree with you, but it has been pushed to the front of Wii U promotion on certain things. You can read the rest of the comments to see in which ways as I have posted them several times, but it comes down to really singling out Xenoblade Chronices when it does make a reveal. What do we really know about any other game coming in 2015. We know a little about Splatoon, but not really all that much. I couldn't tell you if it has a story mode, or if it's just an online game. I can't tell you what weapons they will have and how  they will work in the game except for what they've shown. i could tell you about Yoshi's Wooly World and a little about Mario Maker. But the game I could tell you the most about (but still have  the most questions on) is Xenoblade Chronicles X. Why? Because they know it's going to be a big game and they put it in with the directs all the time. They're getting the name out and generating interest.

Also, if the put half the effort into advertising it as they have Smash and Kart we'll be seeing commercials for it EVERYWHERE. I can't tell you how many times I've seen the "Settle it in Smash" and "Flip your World" commercials. I just hope they target it more towards the audience that will be purchasing it, which I feel they will. The Metroid commercials are AMAZING! It's kind of a wait and see thing as of now, but I think Nintendo is going all in on the game htis time, while before they weren't even planning on bringing it stateside.
