I'm just pointing out that the games have been repackaged a few times in the last few years already and no one has really raised too much an eye brow from the most avid Sony fan even, they can repackage it all they want, there is no comparison of the fan love for MCC as there is for a God of War collection, this has been shown repeatedly already.

As for leaping to lack of sales = a lack of quality I disagree with that rather terrible strawman. Quality is one factor in what makes games desireable, if you don't understand how install base and multiple platform releases effect sales then I can't help with that sorry. I should phrase that moreso that I'm unwilling to spend time on such an endeavour not that it would be impossible for me to do so.

It's interesting to note that if we only factor Ghosts in one platform it still outsells Galaxy and BF4 on one platform still outsells Metroid, so the point still is valid either way. Quality is one factor for sales, but advertising is another one. The game industry is simply a reflection of the entire entertainment industry. It's like movies: the ones that get an Academy Awards for Best Movie hardly hadve the biggest budget of the year or the biggest box office numbers.

As the collection, it really never gathered that much interest (despite that, GoW Origins is probably the best selling HD remaster). There is a lot of love for MCC, but it is getting a lot of advertising and people on forums are pretty excited about it and that things are probably what is creating all this fuss about it.
