Of course it's a great value. Most collections and remasters indeed are, I don't get why people have so much hate. A lot of people didn't played the first 2 Halo games because they didn't had a OG Xbox and so on. Getting them on a single package is much easier than buying an old Xbox and 2 used copies of the games (and they won't have the online mode since it was shutdown 1 or 2 years ago).
In a similar manner, other collections represent a good value for the correct consumer. I wouldn't buy GoW Saga because I have GoW 3. It's better to buy the separate collections for PS2 and PSP (specially that one since I never had a PSP). MGS Collection is great too since I didn't had the PSP entry. And either way, it's much better to play the HD version with better graphics.
People just like to complain about MCC as they did complain about TLOUR. If it isn't interesting for you, don't buy. I won't buy Tomb Raider or Sleeping Dogs for PS4 since I played them on PC so the new remaster isn't a good value for me. I didn't bought TLOUR simply because I play online on PS3 and will just get it if my multiplayer friends move to PS4.

ganoncrotch said: God of War collection is offering games which have been bundled up in packs before for the PSvita/ps3 and in total the God of War series of games combined has less than 25m sales over 10+ games, the last game selling just 1.9m in 2013. By contrast Halo as a franchise can topple that figure with just H3+reach combined. Even the hated Halo wars managed to sell 2.4m just on the series name alone. |
Good to know that we can finally say that CoD: Ghosts is a better game than Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 combined, Battlefield 4 beats any Metroid and none of the original Sonic games on Genesis can touch Destiny. Because sales are a direct reflection of quality!
