I feel those numbers would be accurate if they weren't really pushing the advertising of the series. Not a bad prediction, in fact it's a very safe prediction. I guess I'm just a little more optimistic while others seem to be more pessimistic.

However, I am trying to keep this in reality, this Legend Of Zelda seems to be taking a direction that will appeal to a TON of people and it's sales are going to blow every other Wii U game out of the water. That's just the facts of it.

It's Zelda. It will be downplayed as "not being cool enough." And, to the longtime fans of the series, they may see it as crap again, hurting its legs.

As for the advertising, JRPGs are still a niche. That said, it may replicate the success of the Wii JRPGs that weren't promoted well at the end of the Wii lifespan.

For Legend of Zelda, could very well happen too, lol. I mean while there has been a LOT of praise for the reveal, but there has also been a lot of "Link looks like a girl" as well. I think the reveiw scores are going to have people change their mind though and at the end of it's life cycle sell around 4.5-5.5 mil copies. Landing it smack middle sales wise in the franchise. I think it will review VERY well, getting  >95.

While I will also agree with you that jrpgs are a niche, but I can see it selling better than operation rain falls RPGs simply due to the fact there is no limited supply of the game. Also, I didn't see ANY marketing push from Nintendo, which could also impact sales.
