I sincerely wish. JRPGs need to make a comeback and NOW!
They can cut through the decay that is the stagnant FPS genre.
In saying that, no. The game wont be a next heavy hitter for Nintendo. Nintendo simply saw that there was interest in Xenoblade so they put Shulk in Smash to drive sales much like Marth and Roy did for Fire Emblem when they appeared in Melee. And putting the first game on New 3DS will boost interest too.
Again, I would really like a new Xeno game every 2-3 years. With some other JRPGs revitalised.
