GamerGate is largely about how the media handled all of these events, with massive censorship, attacks on gamers, radical feminism, and basically a large orchestrated movement to push it all under the rug. GamerGate doesn't care about Zoe Quinn, the only people who bring her up any more are the ones who want to paint her as a victim to be used to attack GamerGate. There is a lot of good writing about GamerGate, unfortunately it tends to get buried under all the people ignorantly calling it a mysogynist movement. Here is one piece that I like: http://techcrunch.com/2014/09/25/gamergate-an-issue-with-2-sides/

This is probably about as close to true as something like this can get.

I don't care at all about Quinn and I think Sarkeesian is a con artist who should be ignored.  However, when all these gaming media sites launched attacks on the people who play games at the same time, it was clear something was messed up behind the scenes.  Read the Gamasutra piece, which is basically a childish tantrum intended to insult guys who play video-games as a hobby, or the Verge article painting anyone who disagreed as "anti-femanist".  The arrogance of it is off the charts and yet these are the people who are making money off the back of the industry.

I'm simply not going to support these websites or these people who think they control gaming media and can do as they please.
