It could stomp down console wars, and get even the toughest of fanboys to unite under a single banner.
Why do I think this?
Well, GamerGate already got parts of Reddit, parts of 4chan, 8chan, parts of tumblr and Twitter working together in an unlikely confluence of events, and I don't see console wars (anymore) in 8chan /v/, which is a weird, weird thing to see. I could be wrong, though. (That said, it's impressive how many newfags* there are in /gg/. They don't lurk anymore, huh?)
