Now that you mention it, sometimes, an explosion causing the framerate to drop can make the explosion seem more "cinematic" and powerful. Maybe It's more tolerable there because I'm usually not in control whenever such a large explosion would happen.

But other than that, I never want my framerate to drop while I'm in control.

When I play Touhou, and the framerate drops when I'm trying to graze...

...Let's just say that shit hits the fan.

Gameplay in Touhou is calculated by frame, not by time. So if the framerate drops by half, then the game will play at half speed.

I've never had framerate issues in the game though. I've always maintained a solid 60fps in each game, even in some of the worst Spell Cards. Dat Double Master Spark in 8.
