"Try not to target a single player in an online match"

My god the fucking nannying. Absolute joke.

More unique to smash due to the possibility of more than one opposing player, and it's a game that can become very un-fun if someone's out to get you.

Of course, it only applies when there's both a skill gap, and more than two players, so i can't imagine you're getting too many bans for that to begin with.

What?  It is a perfectly valid and often used tactic.  If in a 1v1v1v1 one player is clearly better it makes sense to gang up on and only target him in order to eliminate him as a threat.  In 2v2 it makes sense to each take on one target only.

...except it will get you banned.  Again, absolute joke.

All 4 player matches are time only. There's nothing to be gained from excessively targeting one person.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
