For that I find Nintendo the biggest fools around, sorry to put it like this. The lack on about almost everything you can imagine. Took ages before WIIWare came, no harddrive... and name up the rest.... All I can say is: it would be about time!!

And for these comments, I find you to be one of the biggest fools around.  Nintendo was actually smart to delay WiiWare, as it has both pushed VC sales and at the same time cleared out some of their back catalogue that would have crushed independant developers if they had to launch side-by-side.  Look at the list of WiiWare games and ask yourself how many could have kept up with simultaneous launches with any of the Mario or Zelda games.  At least this way, the focus is going to beshifted from VC to WiiWare to give the little guys a better shot of stepping outside of NIntendo's long shadow.

The HDD is also no loss, as it would have made the thing a lot more expensive.  That would have been counter productive to them, and they are unwilling to release a console at anything more than the mainstream is willing to pay ($250 these days, but $200 before the iPod came along).  And that's a good choice for them, since it's gotten them number one with a bullet this gen.  Plus, sometime in '09 or '10 they'll probably release an upgrade the doesn't change the base hardware configuration but does grant noticable graphical performance enhancements a la GBC and they can pack more flash memory into thing making it even more desirable as an upgrade.  That's what I'd do if I were Nintendo, since it's what has worked so well for them for a long time now on their handheld systems.

And yes, it's about time.  They could have launched WW sooner, as the intial buzz of VC has been wearing off for a while.

Anyway, maybe EA should just consider using a reasonable file format for their songs.  Really, they do not need to sell uncompressed audio when there are existing lossless compression techniques.  It's fine to put uncompressed audio on the DVD since they are never going to pack enough data onto the disc to fill it, but it's wholly unnecessary for DLC.  Unless each of these songs comes with a unique FMV for the background (which doesn't seem to be the case, from the look of the game), there's simply no reason to take up that much space other than to be a jerk.

You do not have the right to never be offended.
