That's irrelevant, though. PCs are not portable, and that's the one and only important thing here. Phones and tablets are already taken for granted, and they're always on you, that's what makes them such great gaming devices.

I've gone from seeing many kids playing GBA or DS in public for fun to seeing far far more kids the same age playing mobile in public for fun and encountering a 3DS every once in a while. And the mobile market extends to the high school, college, and adult demographic as well. It's not going anywhere unless smartphones are going with them.

It's not going to kill portables, but a device like the 3DS is never going to hold as much sway in on the go gaming as phones do/will or the DS did.
