There's no double standard here. Xbox One is losing the console war and has to do constant price cuts and promotions just to be competitive.
PS4 however has been winning the console war this whole year and hasn't had to resort to "desperate" moves. This is the first promotional price cut and its only for 3 days. It's called being competive. Weren't people complaining about Sony needing to react to Microsofts aggressive moves? Well this is it. Expect similar promotions in the US.
