Heh, I thought the exact same thing when Nintendo announced the "full" titles for both versions of Smash. I was like are you f'n kidding me?? No (somewhat) creative name in the title like Brawl or Melee, just the name of the consoles??
Back in the day there would be plenty of games with the same exact title and nearly identical box art released on both the NES and Game Boy... they never said "for Nintendo Entertainment System" or "for Game Boy" in the title, and people got along just fine.
