These are the figures from their financial reports. Financial reports are ALWAYS shipped, therefore the 7.29m figure is shipped.

Nintendo does usually report what is shipped or what is sold. I have yet to read that the number is shipped. I believe it is sold.

seriously after so many posts explaining it in this thread how can you post this.
It is really really simple. In financial statements companies have legal obligations to provide ACCURATE financial information, the only way they can do this is by stating what they have sold to retailers, anything else would be a guess/estimate which is unacceptable in a financial statement as they have no way to know whether those boxes are in a retailers warehouse or under someones xmas tree.
