Bayonetta 1 on Wii U beats the 360 version in most areas, but not all; it runs smoother, has no screen tearing unlike the 360, has more detailed textures, and has smoother shadows, but in some scenes bloom and depth of field are pared back or missing. |
I'm about 70% done with Bayonetta on the Wii U and there were a few things I noticed. I'm no Digital Foundry or anything so...yeah. Anyway, there are certain parts where "Now Loading" appear on screen that I don't recall happening with the 360 (though I install pretty much any game I play on 360, anyway). Sometimes, I'd just pick up an item or a book and it would load. There was one section where it was raining and I was fighting a lot of enemies on screen and the game slowed down slower than witch time!
There was some detail in Bayonetta's outfit (the leather straps on her sleave didn't look like leather)that I thought was missing on the Wii U version but when I fired up the 360, it was missing in that same scene and it was back later on in the Wii version. Was all in my head. Didn't really notice anything else. Just longer loadng and some slow down. There was also some debris in an area that glitched in and out but that may have been a one time thing and could possibly happen with any version under the right circumstances.
