The BIGGEST legacy?

Mario, hands down. Nothing else comes even close. But Zelda, GoldenEye, Halo, Street Fighter, GTA and more have left a pretty big impact as well.

Really, seeing how plaftormers are mostly dead id didagree.

Wolfi or Doom set literallythe biggest legacy, and their legacy rules todays gaming world not Marios.

Lol. Platformers have had a MAJOR resurgence. The Wii U is a platform machine. Sony's holiday game this year is a platformer. The indie industry, arguably the most important part of the games industry now, is platformers by a majority.

Mario Bros 1 saved the console industry on top of popularising gaming and the platform genre. (it doesnt matter that sega or someine else "could" have saved it, they didnt. Other games woukd have done the same thing Doom did if it didnt exist, so those arent that influencial either, to use your wierd logic.)

Mario 64 helped set the standard for all 3D games, not just platformers. The guys who made GTA 3 talked about how M64 helped them.

Mario is tge best sellung francise and Mario Galaxy got called ""Game of the Generation"" by more than 2 websites.

Tryung to undercut Mario's influence is a bit ridiculous. I knew ine person in this thread would though.
