300k? More like a million. There is doubt in my mind that there is at least 1 million Wii Us around the world sitting on shelves since that is how much the Xbox One had by the end of Dec 2013. That was also a brand new console so they should have been selling well.
EDIT: Also the Xbox One was only available in 13 country or so.
