They've announced new games at these before, as well as other interesting information. You absolutely shouldn't wake up for it though.

(I don't pay much attention to this stuff, so haven't a clue what happens :p)

I personally don't remember any new games announcement, they tend to give a lot of release dates but that's about it I think.

Edit: now that I think about it, Nintendo did announce the Quality of Life thingy in one of these (although we haven't heard anything about that in a very long time), that's the biggest announcement they had that I can remember.

 If I am not mistaken, Pandora's tower was announced in one of those meetings.
