PS4 Too!

I never said PS4 was some state-of-the-art powerhouse. I said its more powerful than Xbox One, which is a fact.

I want to play console games in the best resolution and performance possible. That's one of the reasons why I picked up a PS4. Because I was looking for a console. To Play games. On Tv. With a Controller.

Screw it, I'll bite.

You wan't the best resolution and performance possible? (YOUR WORDS) Picking the Playstation 4 was then the wrong choice, you literally just failed hard core as a consumer.
The PC has had HDMI longer than consoles have, heck it's had "1080P"since 1995 (The era of the Nintendo 64/Playstation 1) and 4k since 2001/2003, it can interface with a TV just fine.
2560x1440 has been around for years, can be had for a couple hundred bucks.

And yet, you still opt for the device which can't exceed a 20 year old resolution? A resolution I expect out of a 5" mobile phone?

Controllers are childs play, you have hundreds to choose from and more often than not, your console controller works on PC too, go figure.

Steam Big Picture mode is your best friend for controllers+TV use.

If console games are your thing, the PC is known to get the majority of multi-platform console games natively, they look better than their console counterparts and also perform better. (Not to mention more gameplay thanks to mods.)
Converesly, you also have the choice of emulating other platforms (Legalities of which, various by region.) such as the SNES, N64, Playstation 1, Playstation 2, Gamecube, Wii... Heck even the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 emulators are now up and running. (Although, game compatability still leaves much to be desired.)
Don't forget the PC's game library is larger than any singular console platform, with decades worth of backwards compatability to bolster your games library.

Seriously, your missing out on some of the greatest games of all time by ignoring other platforms, but I guess that's your problem.

But I digress, you will probably find some other excuse now.

Screw it i'll teach you

  1. . Comparing stuff between consoles the PS4 is the better choice.Simply a fact.

If he only wants 1 platform and it has to be a console he and everyone else should pick the PS4.Fact.

2.
The bold part is just plain wrong and stupid
You wan't the best resolution and performance possible?

Yes, IF(the important part) the game comes to PC the PC Version is the smart choice.Nothing to argue here.
But you act like every Multiplatform game is coming to PC.
Final Fantasy 15,Kingdom Hearts 3 and many others are ONLY on PS4 and Xbox One.
NOW WHAT DOES IT DO IF HE HAS 15 TITANS and GTX980s in his PC if those games don't get released on there?HUH TELL ME?
RIght - The choice is between the following TWO PLATFORMS - The Playstation 4 and the Xbox One.
Which of those 2 Platforms will run this MULTIPLATFORM game better?Exactly - The Playstation 4.So it was the better choice to buy the PS4 for Multiplatform games.

You act like EVERY Game gets released on PC but this simply isn't true
Its probably even closer to being a minority especially if those games aren't mainstream/western and even then its not a safe bet.
When did Playstation and XBox People play GTA5?Last year - When will PS4 and X1 people play GTA5 again? This year
When will the ultra awesome PC People play it?Next year - So they had to wait till the game got released twice on consoles.
How do you like the PC Version of Red Dead Redemption? The PS3 and Xbox360 got that MULTIPLATFORM game.

See?
Its simply a fact the PS4 and X1 cover a lot more and are a smart choice.
Yes for those Multiplatform Games the PC gets it is the only choice you should make.
But PS4/XB1 cover a lot bigger library of high quality games the PC will never see and if you have to choose you pick the PS4 for the better quality in games.
Why?Cause the games still cost the same - PS4 and Xb1 Version cost for example 60$ but you get more quality on the PS4.Simple choice.

And saying the PC library is bigger than the ones of console is surely true.
But all the shovelware on Steam or the (high budget) Console Exclusive Multiplats, the real exclusives obviously and still getting a lot  of the indie shovelware from PC...Hm hard choice ;)
I go personally with PC+PS4 just cause of those reasons. But if you want only to have 1 platform with the biggest quality in the library you have to go with the PS4.Simply cause you cover with PS4 only a lot more than with going PC only.

Been reading your posts and your completely wrong or have no idea. For starters theres more to a console then just the Hardware. 2014 the X1 has all the hard hitting AAA games that the PS4 offers plus more (Titanfall etc) And while the PS4 might offer a slight advantage which in many cases arent even noticable, you forget about the other importent facters of a console. Lets take a look at the Online Service and infractures of both console. PS4s service isnt slightly inferiour to XB1s service, if marginaly inferiour. PSN down times, Games having problems connecting (DriveClub) etc. The other most importent thing when buying a console is the controllers. Its stated that the 360 had the best controller last gen and alot of people are familer with it, which means moving to the XB1 controller is a natrual feel (Analog stick placment etc) and the other goodies like Rumble triggers. The fair point with the controllers is there both good controllers.

So to put it simple, The PS4 does have slight advanatges when it comes to the visuals however the XB1 has a worlds difference when it comes to the online infracture and service (dedicated servers etc) and while the controllers i put as a tie since there both good, and i am not even going to bother comparing the 2 cameras, thats another thing the PS4 is marginaly inferiour in.

Now Slight advantages in graphics does not mean superiour gameplay, not if the online side of things cant even handle the games and the downtimes of a service. If you want a graphic advantage then clearly PC is the way to go since PC online has always been up there as the best (Since its free) and the games are cheaper to own on PC and the graphics ARENT slightly better like the PS4 is to the XB1, The PC graphics are worlds apart better when compared to console games, eg 60 frames > 30 frames, thats almost double the power just in the framerate and i am not including the advance effects and resolution.

The sad part of your argument is you mention about PC gamers have missed out or waited a long time to play GTA5 and Red Dead Redemption, but how long have PC gamers being playing games like Planet Side 2 or Diablo 3? The fact is with consoles (heres where they trick you) They make you buy the game twice, one version on current or last gen and the other on next gen. PC versions normaly are the next gen game (which is cheaper then the last gen version on consoles) and they normaly get updated with patches to increase the visuals over time so your not buying the game twice. My mate brought Half Life on PS2 and in a magainze stated "The best looking verion" I reloaded Half Life on Steam and all i did was change Direct X 7 to Direct X 11 and wow, i automaticly saw massive differences and it felt like a remastered game and it was FREE.
