Is PS3 actually catching up in Americas gaming market?

Think what will happen in the trigger happy contienent of NA when MGS4 GTA4 Resistance2 Killzone2 Socom4 are released especially when you look at 360s price and games now and the fact its getting out sold by the PS3 already.

I just don't agree with that.  If I am looking to play shooters, there's no way I am running to PS3, no matter what games they have as exclusive shooters, because I really hate the controller layout for an FPS.  

Now will I play them, since I have a PS3 anyway?  Sure, especially Resistance.  But  it's kind of like why DMC4 sells better proportionally on PS3 - when I think Dante, I think Playstation.  But when I think FPS, I think Xbox.
