You're acting like Xbox One is peoples first choice....its not. PS4 is with it being the market leader.

A price cut will help Xbox One but its still an uphill battle. They're still 2nd place. A victory isn't guaranteed at all like you see to think.

I wonder how PS4 was able to get a lead so early in the US, it can't be because of it being $100 less expensive for a good 8 months, can it? I'm not saying this will make the Xbox One the first place console in the US lifetime, I'm just saying MS held almost all their cards back for the holidays and it's the most important season for consoles. During the holidays, it's not about "which is the market leader", but more of "which one can I save more on".

But, it was not cheaper. Because that would mean that XOne had a price cut in June, and the consensus between XOne owners is that there was no price cut, only a release of a different SKU.

So, it seems that PS4 sold better because people failed to recognize the magnificent value Kinect brought into their living rooms.

Joking aside, it is well established that price had nothing to do with it, PS4 was and is just a better product, offering a superior experience for fans of video games.

We now know the problem was not Kinect, we know the problem was not the price, the problem was not the games.... The problem is XOne itself, an inferior product able to attract only a niche audience residing in a specific geographic area, and fans of few exclusive franchises...
