Only real issue I have with the items is the three red shells. They should have been removed altogether like they pretty much were in Double Dash. Not only because they are overpowered, but because people don't know how to use them properly, always wasting shells on stunned players instead of waiting until they've passed them before shooting the next.
As for the VR system, I agree that it was a lot better before the update and that it should be reverted.
