Because it's more desirable? I mean...It's more powerful for the same money, it's got a stronger history of exclusive games, Sony didn't spend nearly as much time pushing features people ended up not really wanting, It's the only console with VR on the way.
They're also adding awesome features like shareplay and people have turned out to really like the share features.
