And really, shipments become sales, all the old consoles shipments have been sold as will all the XB1 and WiiU's in the OP will be.

So? Production batches become sales, so do component orders. Sales = sales.

You think the Xbox One will outsell the WiiU by 17 million units? It's possible I suppose but only because I expect Nintendo to replace the WiiU early. Further moving the goal post.
