$299 is the price I have been saying for a while now.

I agree, the sooner M$ gets there, the better.

This goes for PS4 as well. As good as PS4 is selling, I think the market for $399+ consoles is still limited, and the $299 mark will show everyone how gigantic gen8 can be. i think X1 is $249 or less by summer '16 as well. When sub-20nm gets rolling from TSMC in bulk, that will really hit hard for revised versions. $199 or less end of gen is also easily possible.
