The clever bit is the interactivity between the 3DS and the Wii U versions. You can transfer your custom character from 3DS to Wii U, and also use your 3DS as a Wii U controller. So if you've been spending the past 2 months getting used to playing using the 3DS controls, you don't have to change the way you play. It truly makes the game portable - bring your 3DS to your friends house and play it on their Wii U. Great way to showcase the Wii U version and persuade a Wii U purchase.
