Well yeah. The Japanese economy is built on such a fragile foundation that I don't even know if you can call it a foundation. With all of the debt and bailouts from the government, you have to wonder when it'll fall flat on itself.

Hopefully not before I lose interest in Japanese media.

Well, it's not like the talent suddenly stops working. There'd be new startups and lot of groups starting over fresh if a crash happened. While, there'd be a short loss, I don't think media would just go away forever.
