it was announced as launch game. and beside fifa and cod (shooters), racing games are the third bigges seller on consoles here in germany (even gt6 did very well, while bombed hard in some other territories)
i know one guy in person and several on german forums, who just kept theire preoders for the whole year.
would u cancel ur 20 bucks preoder game u get from that promotion without anything in return? ofc not ;)
this was mainly due to the rumored february 2014 realse. the game promo was from december and all paticipants got theire other 2 games or the console alreday and just waited for the rest to be delivered in februaray. but the game was delayed. and after that u could decide if u cancel it and get ur money back, or keep the preoder and still a new relase for 20 bucks on day one
